100 HOUR NON ACCREDITED AVOCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN:


The 100 courses are not intended for principal occupation or vocational purposes; they are for self interest only.
All 100 hour courses are comprised of two quarters, one of 8 and the other of 9 weeks.



ELECTRICAL WIRING, MINOR EXPANSION, AND REPAIRS
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be qualified for entry level employment as an electrician’s helper and will be able to assemble, install, and repair lighting equipment and building wiring. Instruction includes safety and proper uses and care of tools, basic electrical installation and types of electrical services, splices, scale drawing/blueprints, removing and replacing fuses, replacing faulty electrical cords, plugs, and light switches, replacing fluorescent bulbs and tubes, attaching separable plug to appliance, replacing defective light socket and tightening, replacing defective electrical wall outlet, locate circuit overload, installing various electrical components, and installing a dimmer switch.

COMPREHENSIVE PLUMBING
Upon Successful completion of this course, the student will be able to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, water fixtures, and drainage systems, according to specification and plumbing codes. Instruction includes identification of parts and fittings, faucets, toilets, emergency leak repairs, clearing clogs, maintenance of hot water heaters and heating systems, tracing existing pipe systems, and measuring and making a predetermined length on a pipe.
