POLICY
Within the limits of its ability and resources, it
is the policy of Berk Trade and Business School to accept
all qualified applicants for admission who demonstrate they
have the interest, ability, and potential to successfully
complete appropriate requirements for the course of study
selected, without regard to race, creed, color, disability,
or gender. Although all information available in the admission
process is reviewed very carefully by the Admission Committee,
primary consideration is given to the pre-admission interview.
ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS
1. All candidates must submit a completed Application
for Admission.
2. Candidate must possess either a High School Diploma or
High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) or pass the entrance
exam (Wonderlic Basic Skills Test).
3. Pre-admission interview.
4. Students must be at lease seventeen years of age or older.
5. Students admitted to the ESL course must already possess
occupational skills, pass NYS Placement Test, and be non-English
speakers, who are seeking intensive instruction in English
language skills.

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES
1. When applying for admissions, prospective
students should contact an admissions representative at
the school, and schedule an appointment for a personal interview
and to receive a tour of the school facility.
2. Applicants must complete the enrollment application at
this time, and pay the $25.00 non-refundable application
fee.
3. Applicants must provide a copy of their High School Diploma,
transcript or their G.E.D certificate
4. Ability to benefit students, are scheduled to take the
Wonderlic Basic Skills test (Approved by the NYS Department
of Education), which is independently administered by a
Wonderlic approved tester. This person is not affiliated
with Berk Trade and Business School or its employees. A
passing score on this test consists of 200 on the verbal
Skills and 210 on the Quantitative Skills.
5. The Admissions representative reviews the student’s
right and responsibilities
6. Copies of required documentation are made from the applicant’s
original document.
7. Applicant information is reviewed for accuracy.
8. The enrollment paperwork is completed and signed by the
student by the student, admission representative, and the
accepting school official.
9. The student signs an acknowledgement form, attesting
to the fact he/she received copies of his/her enrollment
Agreement on the day it is signed.
10. Copies of the entire enrollment paperwork are given
to the student to keep for his records
