CAREER PLACEMENT SERVICES


Berk Trade and Business School recognizes its responsibility to assist students in finding gainful employment upon graduation. The School is actively engaged in providing placement assistance to all 600 hour graduates. Students are interviewed prior to referral, at which time interests and objectives are discussed.

Graduate Placement Seminars are conducted to provide students with valuable job searching techniques, paving the way for employment opportunities. The Seminar and Workshops that are conducted include:


• How To Write An Effective Cover Letter And Winning Resume
• How To Research Potential Jobs Using The Internet, Newspapers And Other Media
• Tips For Filling Out A Job Application
• Attitude And Professionalism On The Employment Interview (Mock Interviewing that includes
employers' expectations regarding communications skills, professional appearance, and business
etiquette)
• How To Create The Right Impression
• How To Show That You Qualify For The Job
• Follow Up After The Interview - How To Write Thank You Letters
• How To Network
• Work Attitude And other Job Seeking Skills


The School is actively engaged in providing placement assistance to all graduates without additional charge. Students are interviewed prior to referral, at which time interests and objectives are discussed. The student is provided with pertinent instruction on the employment interview, work attitude and other job seeking skills. Job placement assistance usually entails referral to more than one possible employer. While Placement Assistance may be provided, it is understood that the school cannot promise or guarantee employment to any student or graduate.

Placement is not offered to students who enroll and complete a 100 hour avocational course, and are subsequently not eligible to be placed with an employer through the school's placement office.
