Berk Trade and Business School provides a full range of
services to students. They are encouraged to take advantage
of the following services as needed.
•
Academic Advice
Experienced school personnel are available to applicants
during the Admissions process and to active students for
academic advice and support. Instructors are to notify the
Academic Department when problems arise which impact a student’s
training, e.g. excessive lateness/absences, failure to maintain
academic progress, and inappropriate student conduct. The
Students Services Coordinator will then review all areas
of concern and make recommendations to help resolve the
existing problems.
•
Financial Aid Advice
All Information regarding Federal Pell Grants and the Federal
Direct Loan Program will be explained to all students upon
entering an approved program. Exit interviews are conducted
for all students with a Federal Direct Loan debt.
• Housing Advice
While the School maintains no separate facilities for housing,
we can recommend local facilities.
•
Drug Awareness/Substance Abuse Advice
In compliance with the DRUG-FREE SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES
AMENDMENT ACT OF 1989, the school endeavors to make all
current and prospective students and employees aware of
the hazards involved in drug usage. The school provides
informative pamphlets which describe the effects of using
abusive substances, and let the students know where he/she
can go to obtain additional information or assistance.
